“ We went here after floating the river. The food, service and atmosphere was awesome! We started with fried green tomatoes and philly fries.. Both were amazing! My husband got fried fish and my son got grilled fish (both) were seasoned to perfection My other son got the Mahi tacos and he said they were amazing. I ordered the chicken fried chicken and mashed potatoes. Everything was fresh, hot, and seasoned to perfection. The prices were very reasonable. We will definitely be visiting here again when we are in town. ”
“ Traveling to Nashville and found Slim and Shorty's! Our new lunch destination when traveling in the area. Food was delicious, fresh and hot. Chicken salad sandwich, fried chicken breast, HOT baked potato, French fries, and Philly cheese steak was wonderful. Our granddaughter loved her grilled cheese with fries. To top it off, we shared a piece of strawberry cheesecake and Reeses pie! Both pies were a reason to return on just their own. Our group of 5 left very happy! ”

Customer service is hard to come by these days, but not here. It was top-tier. We ordered our food to-go, and everything was delicious—but honestly, I’d come back just for the experience. Slim was so kind and even gave us other great local recommendations for the rest of our trip. Highly recommend—20/10! And don’t even get me started on the sweet tea... so good! ”

“ Two of my grands and I went to Slim and Shorty's last night after the Christmas parade in town. Even though they had a private party happening in the Board Room (excellent for large groups) Allie was right there to greet us with our favorite drinks in hand. This is a family owned restaurant and you can tell the Harris family and their employees take pride in seeing that they serve great food. What I really like about Slim's is the fact that they have a good variety of foods to choose from. You can get burgers, seafood, chicken, pork chops, or wings and that's just to name a few items. We have held a lot of family celebrations in their Board Room and we always enjoy these gatherings. Slim and Shorty's ensures every detail is taken care of. They will cater your event with delicious foods or you and your guests can order off the menu. Either way, you can't go wrong. The photo I posted was from my husband's 70th bday which was in the Board Room. It was catered and so many of our guests commented on how good their food and service was. The Harris family has been serving delicious food and fun (every other Thursday night is Trivia) to our community for well over a decade and we're so glad they're here! ”
